Confessions of Saint Augustine—the story of St. Augustine's life, including his conversion to Catholicism, and a wonderful prayer to God. He is one of the greatest doctors of the Church and it can be said that all Western theology is a footnote to St. Augustine. Even though the world has changed since this work was first written fifteen centuries ago, St. Augustine's insight and love of God continue to inspire people even to this day.
