Prayer for the Conclave

Lord Jesus, by entrusting to St. Peter and his successors the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven, you established the office and ministry of the papacy. Grant to your Church, we beseech you, a pope who, in his dedication to the Holy Gospel and the Tradition of the Church, will seek to govern the faithful according to the deposit of Faith and for the salvation of souls. 

Holy Spirit of God, Soul of the Church, imbue the Cardinal Electors with your divine light as they discern who will undertake the Petrine ministry. Gladden us with the gift of a shepherd who will instruct us by his virtues and imbue our minds with the truth of the Gospel.

   

Mary, Mother of the Church and Mother of Good Counsel, assist the Cardinals in discerning God’s will during this decisive time for the Church and our world.
