"The harm that comes to souls from the lack of reading holy books makes me shudder...
What power spiritual reading has to lead to a change of course,
and to make even worldly people enter into the way of perfection."
— St. Padre Pio
The Catholic Book Club will resume meeting on September 8, at 7:00 PM in the OLS Church Library. We will be reading and discussing Mere Christianity, by C S Lewis. You may attend the meetings in person or via Zoom!
In the classic Mere Christianity, C.S. Lewis—the most important writer of the 20th century—explores the common ground upon which all of those of Christian faith stand together. Mere Christianity provides an unequaled opportunity for believers and nonbelievers alike to hear this powerful apologetic for the Christian faith. Why not join us in our study of this important book?
The Catholic Book Club meets every second and fourth Thursday of the month, from September to May, at 7:00 pm in the OLS Church Library. At each meeting, we discuss a selection from the current work. When we finish one book, we vote to decide which will be the next book to read and discuss.
If you are interested in joining us, please contact Len Commini (273-6541; [email protected]).
