Notre Dame HIgh School President, Ken Jennings is hosting a series of engaging speakers, beginning with Bishop O'Connell's lecture on "Raising Catholic Kids in our Modern Age." The Children's Liturgy of the Word will be offered at the 11:00 AM Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church on November 17, and December 8 & 15. Children in grades K - 4 are invited to join us as we hear God's Word and respond to the Good News of the Gospel.

Pro-woman IS pro-life, and pro-life IS pro-woman. The idea that abortion empowers women is one of many lies in society that are, in reality, incredibly harmful to women. In centuries past, the cross of terminal illness was seen as an opportunity to be compassionate to the sick and for "offering up" of suffering for the good of others by the sick. There is a process of "letting go" and entrustment to God by everyone that needs to happen, a process that must not be short-circuited by euthanasia or physician-assisted suicide. Given the scientific fact that a human life begins at conception, the only moral norm needed to understand the Church's opposition to abortion is the principle that each and every human life has inherent dignity, and thus must be treated with the respect due to a human person. If you have not already seen the exhibit of Eucharistic Miracles inspired by the Blessed Carlo Acutis, it can be seen from now until September 20 at St. James Church, Pennington. The display is open from 10 to 7 Monday through Sunday. Spoiler...these miracles are still happening, and you can find out about them, and the scientific investigations of them, in this display!

St. Gregory the Great Church in Hamilton Square is seeking candidates for the full-time position of Coordinator of Religious Education (CRE). The CRE oversees the formation of children in the Catholic Faith through their adolescent years. Click here for more information and a contact address.
