After a 2-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Our Lady of Sorrows–St Anthony’s 26th annual Golf Classic, held at Mercer Oaks on Wednesday, September 7, was a tremendous success! We’re grateful to the committee for their outstanding work, which raised $19,187 for the parish. We also thank our many sponsors and all the golfers who participated.

The OLS-SA Golf Classic was again a most enjoyable day on the links. A full report on the event will be published soon. In the interim, many thanks are extended to the committee members.

This is the 26th year for the Our Lady of Sorrows-Saint Anthony Parish Golf Classic. This event raises money for the church, the school, and the athletic program. The first meeting to plan this year's event will be held on April 5 at 7:00 PM in the Church Hall at Our Lady of Sorrows. The Golf Committee of OLS-SA needs more members.

For 25 years the OLS/SA Golf Classic has been a major fund-raising event. It has also been a great fun event for all involved and has received the highest praise from all participants. Currently we have a crisis. Due to retirements, relocations, and deaths we have lost almost 50% of our long-serving Golf Committee members. The parish’s 2020 Golf FUNdraiser will not be held this year due to the impact of the novel coronavirus. We sincerely hope that all of our supporters, players, and committee members are okay and looking forward to next year’s event.

We offer our thanks to all who helped to make our 25th Annual Golf Classic a tremendous success! The long hours of preparation of our dedicated Golf Committee coupled with the generous responses of our golfers and sponsors helped to make this fundraiser an achievement that will benefit our parish and school. OLS-SA's 24th Annual Golf Classic will be held at Mercer Oaks West Golf Course this Wednesday, September 19. Registration begins at 10 AM and the shotgun start is at noon. The entry fee of $135 per golfer covers 18 holes of golf, lunch, cocktails, dinner and prizes. Don’t have a foursome? No problem! There will be others looking to join you.
