Mark your calendars to join us at Our Lady of Sorrows Church for Mass celebrating the Solemnity of St. Joseph. Mass will be followed by the blessing of St. Joseph's Table, in the Church Hall.
This Saturday's 9:00 AM Mass will celebrate the Memorial of St. Joseph the Worker. Inspired by St. Joseph’s example and under his patronage, the Church commemorates the human and supernatural value of work. All work is a collaboration in God’s own work of creation, and through Jesus Christ, in accordance with our love for God and for our fellow men and women, it can become true prayer and apostolate.
During this "Year of St. Joseph," our parish is planning to make a group consecration to the great Patriarch on Saturday, May 1, the Memorial of St. Joseph the Worker. A 33-day period of preparation will precede the consecration. Click the article title for more information.
During this Year of St. Joseph, we shall have a lamp burning weekly before his image in both churches. Anyone who wishes to dedicate this votive lamp for a deceased loved one or another special intention, please contact the parish. The suggested offering for this seven-day candle is $15.
As part of the Year of Saint Joseph called for by Pope Francis, the National Shrine of St. Joseph will host a virtual conference and rededicate the saint’s statue. The event takes place on March 19, the Solemnity of St. Joseph, and includes a day of prayer and talks from Catholic leaders. Click the article title for more information.

Join us in a festive celebration of the Solemnity of St. Joseph on Monday, March 20. An additional Mass will be celebrated at 7:00 PM at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, followed by the traditional blessing of the "Saint Joseph Table." If you have given up "sweets" for Lent, you are hereby "dispensed" since St. Joseph's feast is a joyful break in our Lenten observance!
Special thanks are due to all who attended Mass in honor of St. Joseph last week. And thanks to all who prepared this celebration--the Rosary Altar Society and Michael Amantia!
