Fr. James Smith, who served at our parish the year prior to his ordination, will be installed by Bishop David M O’Connell as Pastor of St Isaac Jogues Parish (Marlton) next Sunday, June 30, at 11 am. We congratulate him and wish him many years of happiness.

Among those being ordained next weekend will be Alan Bridges, our diocesan seminarian and student of Mount Saint Mary’s Seminary, Emmitsburg, MD. Alan will be ordained as “transitional deacon” i.e., one on the path to priestly ordination next year. We are delighted that Bishop O’Connell has chosen to assign Deacon Bridges to our parish for this transitional year.

Join us to celebrate with Fr. Alabré his silver jubilee of ordination on November 26, at St. Anthony Church. The celebration will begin with a Mass at 4:00 PM, followed by dinner in the Church Hall. Tickets ($75 each) are available in the Parish Office

Our parish offers prayerful congratulations to Rev. Mr. Kevin Hrycenko, who will be ordained a priest at the hands of His Excellency, Bishop David O'Connell, this Saturday, June 3, in his home parish church, St. Joseph, Toms River.

This Thursday, December 15, the priests of our diocese will attend a Day of Recollection in preparation for the Christmas Solemnity. It is also a day of reflection, prayer, and fraternity. Please keep us in prayer as we gather at Christ the King Parish, Long Branch.

The Most Reverend Bishop has appointed Fr. J.C. Garrett, Pastor of Resurrection Parish in Delran, as Parochial Vicar of our parish, effective January 2, 2023. Click here for more information.

As most parishioners are now aware, Bishop O’Connell has approved Fr. Daniel Gowen’s request for retirement. Please join us on Sunday, December 4 at the 11:00 am Mass and for the reception to follow in the church hall, to thank Fr. Gowen for his many years of priestly ministry. This week the priests of our diocese will gather for their annual convocation—a time of prayer, renewal, and fraternity. Because our priests will be away for this special time, our deacons will conduct a liturgy of the word with the reception of Holy Communion on Wednesday and Thursday, September 14 & 15. Please keep our priests in prayer!
