On September 14, 2024 there will be a special liturgy at the 4:00 p.m. Mass at St. Anthony’s Church to honor the sacrament of marriage for couples who are celebrating anniversaries of 1 year – 5 years, multiples of 5 years, or more than 50 years, during 2024. Following will be a Wine and Cheese Reception for the married couples participating in this liturgy.
The IV World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly will be celebrated on Sunday, 28 July 2024. The theme chosen by the Holy Father – “Do not cast me off in my old age” (cf. Psalm 71:9) – is meant to call attention to the fact that, sadly, loneliness is the bitter lot in life of many elderly persons, so often the victims of the throw-away culture.
