Children in grades K-4 are invited to join in the Children’s Liturgy of the Word at the 11:00 Mass on the First and Second Sundays of Advent, December 3 and 10. Come celebrate the Word of God and receive your Advent gift!

As we prepare for the great holiday of Christmas, please remember those in our community who may be hungry--drop off some non-perishable food in unbreakable containers for Mount Carmel Guild and The Food Pantry Partnership at St. Raphael's. Please place your donations for Mount Carmel Guild and St Raphael’s Food Pantry in the receptacles at the doors of our churches. Our Lady of Sorrows School PTA is pleased to join with Carella's Chocolates on Nottingham Way to offer delicious chocolates as a fundraiser for the school. See the bulletin for details.

The parish office will close at Noon on Wednesday, Nov. 22, for the Thanksgiving holiday, and will remain closed through Friday, Nov. 24. The office will reopen at 9:00 AM on Monday, Nov. 27. There will be no Adoration on November 23, Thanksgiving Day.

The Social Justice/Social Concerns Committee once again invites you to share your love and your treasures this Christmas with children in need, through the Adopt-a-Family, Adopt-a-Child program. Click here for more information.

The Prayer Shawl Group will meet at 1:00 pm on Monday, November 13, in the Church Meeting Room. Prayer shawls are made for patients in area hospitals, assisted living facilities, and nursing homes. Click here for more information.

There will be only one Mass on Thanksgiving Day, and on the following day, at 9:00 AM. Please join us in giving thanks to the Lord, who has given us all that we have!

The purpose of the Holy Name Society is to give honor and glory to the sacred name of Jesus Christ. The OLS-SA Holy Name Society is for the men of our parish, and meetings are held on the third Friday of the month, at noon, in the Church Library at Our Lady of Sorrows.
