Wade, there will be a national day of prayer for the full restoration of the legal guarantee of the right to life, and of penance for violations to the dignity of the human person committed through acts of abortion. Our office staff has been able to resolve some of the program difficulties many on-line donors have experienced. In the past, we were frustrated that our parish staff was unable to assist parishioners since we had no direct control over the program. We are pleased to inform that this impediment has been overcome and the staff can now more readily assist you with technical difficulties.

Out of concern for the health and wellbeing of all participants, the Hamilton and St Gregory the Great Councils of the Knights of Columbus have canceled this year's bus trip to the March for Life in Washington, D.C. on January 21. Thank you to the Knights of Columbus Hamilton Councit 6213 for their generous gift of $500 to Our Lady of Sorrows - St. Anthony parish!

Monsignor recently received a letter from the Hamilton Council 6213 of the Knights of Columbus thanking him for his efforts in promoting the organization's "Coats for Kids" program in our parish. The organization, which was lauded last year for being one of the top "coats for Kids" distributors in NJ, raised enough money this year to purchase 36 cases of 12 coats each--that's 432 coats--for distribution to social service agencies in our area.

Heartfelt thanks go out to the 132 families that "adopted" 312 children this year! The number of gifts that were donated was unbelievable. More than $5,500 in donations was used to help additional children and families in our parish and the community. Special thanks to Kathy McGlinchy, who organizes this annual outpouring of love, and to all those who helped collect and organize the gifts.

The parish office will be closed on Monday, January 17, in observance of Martin Luther King Day. The office will reopen at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, January 18.
