We recently celebrated the Rite of Election for Gabriele Nieves, a catechumen preparing to receive the sacraments of Initiation at the Easter Vigil. This rite marks the beginning of the period of final, more intense, preparation for Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Eucharist.

Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is building a network of CRS Chapters to mobilize Catholics and others of good will to end global poverty through meaningful action. As part of the Year of Saint Joseph called for by Pope Francis, the National Shrine of St. Joseph will host a virtual conference and rededicate the saint’s statue.
