Although the COVID-19’s Delta variant is still keeping the number of Mass attendees below normal, we will do our annual “October count” on the weekends of October 16-17 and 23-24. These statistics are mandated by the Diocese and are useful for diocesan and parish planning.

Throughout October, the Respect Life Committee invites and encourages all to pray the Memorare* daily as many times as you like for the end to abortion. November 2 is All Souls Day, and the month of November is dedicated to prayer for the faithful departed. During this month, the names of our beloved deceased, indicated on the envelopes you have returned, will be placed upon the altars of our churches. There they will remain for prayerful remembrance.

The Our Lady of Sorrows School community participated in a September Service Project to collect and donate goods to the US Troops stationed in Africa. We had a very successful project, and we are now getting ready to pack and ship several large boxes of necessities to these men and women. If anyone in the parish community would like to participate with this endeavor, we are happy to accept any monetary donations to assist with the cost of the freight of these large boxes.
