The Food Pantry at St. Raphael’s is currently not accepting food donations. As of this writing, the Easter Distribution of food will still take place as scheduled. If you know of anyone in need please let them know that the pantry (located at St Raphael’s Parish Center, 151 Gropp Ave, Hamilton) WILL be open from 9 to 11 am on April 6 (Easter distribution).
Planned Parenthood has publicly stated that their clinics will remain open during the COVID-19 crisis: “It is important that patients do not postpone necessary health care, especially abortion services.” But pregnancy is almost never life-threatening, and in those rare cases when it may be a threat to life, abortion is too slow a solution. So it is never medically necessary for a woman to have an abortion, and abortion can, in fact, seriously harm the woman (not to mention the child). Continuing to perform abortions takes medical resources away from people who truly have life-threatening illnesses.
The Parish Office will be closed until further notice, but staff WILL be AVAILABLE from 9 AM to 3 PM, Monday and Wednesday, and from 9 AM to noon on Friday to: answer phones, receive mail and package deliveries, and carry on routine work.
All Palm Crosses, whether requested for delivery at OLS or St Anthony, must be picked up between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Friday or Saturday, March 27 and 28, in the parking lot by the priests' garages at Our Lady of Sorrows.
Due to the Corona Virus we have canceled the parent-child retreat scheduled for April 4. For now the date of First Holy Communion will remain the same. If that date changes for any reason, we will let you know.
The Food Pantry located at St Raphael’s Parish Center (151 Gropp Ave, Hamilton) has advised us that the distribution scheduled for this Saturday, March 21, has been canceled. No decision has been made regarding the Easter distribution scheduled for April 4.
