This custom, conducted in remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi’s love for all creatures, will take place in our parish at 6 PM on Friday, October 4. (Rain date/time: 1 PM on Saturday, October 5). All parishioners are invited to bring their pets to the Peace Garden at Our Lady of Sorrows (outside, to the left of the Parish Offices/Hall doors) for this special blessing.

We offer our thanks to all who helped to make our 25th Annual Golf Classic a tremendous success! The long hours of preparation of our dedicated Golf Committee coupled with the generous responses of our golfers and sponsors helped to make this fundraiser an achievement that will benefit our parish and school. The Knights of Columbus and our Parish Respect Life Group extend their thanks to the parishioners for their extraordinary generosity in the New Jersey Right to Life Chance Sale. The sale raised $2,739 for NJ Right to Life.

The Our Lady of Sorrows-St. Anthony Holy Name Society's first meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 9, at 1 PM in the church library. We welcome back returning members, and invite all men of the parish to join us.

The 15TH Annual Regional Rosary Altar Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 26, at 9:30 am, at St Raphael-Holy Angels Parish (3500 S Broad St, Hamilton). All active and inactive Rosarians are invited to this special celebration of unity and devotion to the Blessed Mother.

We will be holding a vigil in front of the Blessed Sacrament on Thursday, October 3, with scheduled devotions as well as times for quiet, private prayer before the Body, Blood, Soul & Divinity of Jesus. The Rosary Altar Society of Our Lady of Sorrows-St. Anthony is sponsoring a day of recollection on October 19, featuring a presentation on "A Morning with Mary through Art, Music, and Scripture" presented by Susan Commini.

Give great care to the preparation of engaged couples and be close to the young married couples, so that they will be for their children and the whole community an eloquent testimony of God’s love.” (Pope John Paul II, 2001) Pray today for volunteers who guide couples through marriage preparation or marriage enrichment programs.

After all Masses today, the Knights of Columbus, in conjunction with the OLS-SA Respect Life group, will be assisting New Jersey Right to Life by selling chances on a 2020 Volvo XC40 AWD SUV. Proceeds will benefit New Jersey Right to Life, New Jersey’s oldest & largest organization dedicated to protecting all life from conception to natural death.
