Please remember to return your All Souls Remembrance envelope. These, with the names of your beloved deceased, will be placed upon our altar through November in prayerful remembrance at all Masses. You are also invited to place a framed photo at the shrines of Our Lady in our churches.

Knights of Columbus Council 6213, along with the parish Respect Life ministry, will sponsor a Rose for Life collection drive next weekend (November 3 & 4) after the Masses. Proceeds will go toward expenses of a March for Life bus and Aid to agencies assisting women with problem pregnancies. Click the article title for more information.

Our parish congratulates Fr. Dennis Apoldite, who celebrates this weekend the 40th anniversary of his ordination. We offer our prayers for many more years in the Lord’s service. Fr. Dennis served as Parochial Vicar of Our Lady of Sorrows from 1978 to 1984.

Today is Priesthood Sunday, a day specially chosen to celebrate the sacrament of Holy Orders—the sacrament of priestly dedication. This Sunday we acknowledge and honor the priests of our parish, Msgr. Thomas Gervasio and Fr. Pierre Joseph. For more information, click the article title.

The OLS-SA Holy Name Society is a parish organization devoted to serving the spiritual, social, and faithful needs of the men of our parish, which it has been doing for the past 80 years. We are part of a National Federation that professes several objectives, including: honoring the Holy Name of Jesus; imitating him in our thoughts, words, and actions; performing the spiritual and corporal works of mercy; and combating pornography. Marie Tasy, from the New Jersey Right to Life will present facts and figures that call into question the "sympathetic" solution.
