However, since Our Lady under this title is the co-patron on our parish, this Memorial is raised to the rank of a Solemnity within our community. Since Mary is also the "titular" of our parish church, which is to say the church building has been dedicated or given the title of Our Lady of Sorrows, we are permitted to move the celebration to Sunday, September 17. The generosity of the contributors to the diocesan endowment campaign, "Faith to Move Mountains," has made possible a rebate to our parish in the amount of $26,615. This revenue is part of the parish sharing component of the campaign. These funds will go a long way in assisting us with meeting our expenses to maintain both campuses of our parish.
Summer hours (i.e., early closing on Fridays) will end on September 1. Effective September 8, the parish office will again remain open until 4:30 PM on Fridays. The parish office will be closed on Monday, September 4 (Labor Day). Enjoy a safe and restful holiday weekend!
