Our parish relies very much on the annual Christmas Collection to meet its financial obligations. Your generosity in this annual appeal is greatly appreciated. Christmas offerings are still being accepted. The total of this appeal and its varied disbursements will be published soon.
Fr. Jean and I sincerely thank all those who remembered us in this holy season. Your cards, spiritual bouquets, homemade treats, and gifts were most thoughtful. May the Lord bless you abundantly for your kindnesses.
We acknowledge the wonderful work of our liturgy committee members, decorators, and maintenance and office staff who dedicated so many hours of their time to prepare our churches for the Christmas Celebration. We also thank all our liturgical ministers who assisted at the numerous Masses of the Christmas Vigil and Christmas Day!

Monday, January 1, the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God, is NOT observed as a Holy Day of Obligation this year. However, all are invited to assist at Mass at either 9:30 AM (at St. Anthony Church) or 11:00 AM (at Our Lady of Sorrows Church).
The 2017 Adopt-a-Family program was again a huge success! Gifts for 330 children were donated by the 132 parish families who participated. In addition, numerous parishioners donated more than $4,200 in cash and gift cards. Thanks to all who helped, committee and donors alike!

Please remember that next weekend Catholics are obliged to assist at Mass for the 4th Sunday of Advent (Sat/Sun, Dec 23/24). Our regular schedule remains the same. Christmas Masses begin on Sunday evening at 4:00 p.m. In sum, we must assist at two Masses.
The parish office will be open during regular office hours on Friday and Saturday, December 22 and 23. The office will be closed as usual on Sunday, December 24, and will remain closed through Tuesday, December 26, in observance of Christmas. The office will reopen on Wednesday, December 27
Children’s Liturgy of the Word will not be held in conjunction with the 11 a.m. Mass next Sunday (December 24). We wish you all a blessed and merry Christmas!
