On June 6, our parish will honor the sacrament of marriage by a renewal of wedding vows for couples who are celebrating anniversaries of 1 year, a multiple of 5 years, or more than 50 years. Following will be a Wine and Cheese Reception for the married couples.

Today, the 4th Sunday of Easter: Good Shepherd Sunday, is a special celebration of World Day of Prayer for Vocations. The world-wide Church honors all Christian Vocations. Christ Jesus gives his life for us that we might know fullness off life. We pray for openness to God's Call and to accept the gift of our Christian vocation. Christ Jesus, the Good Shepherd is with us to guide and to protect us on our life journey.

Our parish will be holding a special Mass with the Anointing of the Sick on Tuesday, April 28. We invite all those Catholics who may be ill to this sacred encounter, that they might know that Christ, who often visited and healed the sick, loves them in their illness. The Knights of Columbus Council 6213 will hold their annual Tootsie Roll Drive for God's Special Children--that's the weekend of April 25-26, at both Our Lady of Sorrows and St. Anthony churches.
The last Children's Liturgy for this school year will be on May 3. Many thanks to all the wonderful children who came to pray and hear God's Word this year, and to our Children's Liturgy team.
Please join us on Sunday, May 17, at our parish's annual May Crowning. Following the 11:00 AM Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, we will process to our Blessed Mother Shrine in front of our school. All First Communicants are invited to participate in their First Communion attire. Please let your teacher know if you plan to join us. We look forward to seeing all First Communicants, their families, and all parishioners!
