You are invited to an inspirational and informational four-evening series that will explore the epidemic of addiction in our society and our responsibility as followers of Christ in responding to those who are suffering. Each evening will cover one aspect of the bio-phycho-social-spiritual model of addiction.
Facilitator Nina Corona is an addiction specialist as well as a Professor of Theology at Villanova Universtiy. She is a deeply committed Catholic who is equally committed to breaking the addiction cycle in people and communitites. She has long experience in addiction, particularly opioid addiction. She will share with us insights both scientific and religious about addiction.
God is present in all aspects of life, even when we fall into darkness; for as the Psalmist writes in Psalm 139, “If I say, 'surely darkness shall hide me, and night shall be my light' – Darkness is not dark for you, and night shines as the day”. Even in darkness, God is near, calling us from darkness into His own marvelous light.
So come to
