With gratitude and best wishes, Sr. Dorothy Lettiere, R.S.M.
Since 2005, our Religious Education Program has had the benefit of the wit, wisdom, and gentleness of Sister Dorothy Lettiere, R.S.M. During these years of being a faithful and loving caregiver to her dear mother, Sister Dorothy has kept her hand in the catechetical ministry of the Church by teaching our 7th and 8th graders preparing for Confirmation. She has also given presentations to our parents whose children were to receive their First Holy Communion as well as Confirmation. How blessed we have been to have this very popular and exemplary religious as part of our program.
Sr. Dorothy traces her roots to St. Anthony's Parish, whose pastor, the indefatigable Monsignor Michael McCorristin, encouraged her to be a missionary. Sister Dorothy responded with generosity as a member of the Sisters of Mercy in Guam. On May 18, Sister Dorothy will return to Guam to continue to minister to the people she loves and who love her.
Thank you Sister Dorothy! We shall miss you!
May the Lord make fruitful your labors for the glory of God and salvation of souls.
