Atter nearly 9 years of service to our parish, we must bid farewell to our parish secretary, Doreen Griffin Galway. A secretary is the "face of the parish," indeed of the Church, for many who pass through the church's doors. She or he can be the first contact a person may have with the Church after many years. A secretary has many and varied duties—meeting nearly every visitor and caller to the parish, communicating by the written and spoken word, arranging sacramental celebrations, taking care of correspondence, and general office needs. How blessed we have been that Doreen has carried out these duties in such a wonderful way. We offer her our gratitude and prayers for all her future endeavors. Doreen will be continuing her work in the Church and won't be far away. She is taking a position in the Diocesan Office of Catechesis & Evangelization effective June 10.
Welcome!
We welcome our new parish secretary, Mrs. Doris Cordero, who comes to our community with extensive secretarial and parish experience. We offer her our good wishes as she takes up her duties. I am certain that our parishioners will make her feel at home—indeed as one of our family!
