We Want Your Input - OLS Handicapped Parking Proposal

Our parish Faith in Our Future team found that a significant numbe rof respondents to our self-study survey encouraged us to address the need to make handicapped parking at our Lady of Sorrows Church more accessible to the church and office entrance.

Many noted the difficulty the handicapped and elderly have in making the long trek to the elevator entrance from the parking area.The pastoral council and finance council endorsed exploring the idea. Lanning Engineering designed a plan that is posted at teh elevator entrance.

We encourage everyone to study the design and offer their comments—a response box is provided. Thus far, the response has been rather "tepid" and I would feel most uncomfortable to undertake the costly project without substantial support. It is a proposal—our response to a concern voiced by many parishioners. So...what do you think? Please take time to review the plan and offer your comments.
