The Blessing of Pets

This custom, conducted in remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi's love for all creatures, will take place at 6:00 PM on Monday, October 3 (rain date: October 4, 6 PM).

All parishioners are invited to bring their pets to the Peace Garden at Our Lady of Sorrows (outside, to the left of the Lower Church Hall/Parish Office doors).

As Fr. Kevin E. Macklin, O.F.M. expressed, "The love we give to a pet, and receive from a pet, can draw us into the larger circle of life, into the wonder of our common relationship to our creator."
