Speak Lord, Your Servant is Listening

Mary brought to her prayer that attitude of heart, mind, and being that says, ‘Speak, Lord your servant is listening.’ (1 Sam 3:10)  Her heart was a vessel of silence where his voice would not be drowned out by a thousand competing voices, each clamoring for attention.  Her heart was attentive, she waited for his word, and when it came, she devoted herself to it completely.
