On Sunday, February 9, we will celebrate Scout Sunday at the 11:00 mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Scouting has a long history here at OLS-SA, spanning back over a quarter of a century through our predecessor Our Lady of Sorrows Parish.
Cub Scout Pack 38 serves all youth—male and female—from Kindergarten through 5
th grade. Scouts BSA Troop 38 currently serves young men in Grades 6-12—but we are looking to change that. With a few good GIRLS, we would like to open up a female Scouts BSA Troop 38 to complement our long-standing male unit and allow one of our girls to become one of the first females to earn the coveted Eagle Scout Award. There’s no better place to try that—we are already having our second Eagle Scout Board of Review this year for our second young man from the troop.
If you are interested please contact Deacon Kevin at
koboyle@dioceseoftrenton.org, or leave a message for him at the parish office.
Our Scouting program seeks to teach youth about their Duty to God, Country, and Self while building Leadership, Citizenship, and Personal Fitness—all while having fun and providing service to our parish and the community.
