Prayer for Pope Francis' Visit

Almighty and Merciful God, Father of all,
    we thank You for the visit of Pope Francis.

Keep him safe and guide him
   on this apostolic visit to the United States.

May we be a nation eager to listen and learn
   from his ideals and faith in You.

During his visit, allow Pope Francis
   to advance social justice, religious freedom
   and inspire families in their mission of love.

Let him preach Your Holy Gospel,
   reach out to the marginalized, the poor,
   and emphasize the value and dignity of every human life.

May he, the Supreme Pastor of the Church
   achieve a successful visit,
   giving encouragement and hope to the faithful
   and those who have strayed from the Faith.

May millions experience Your graces
   through his love, serenity, and humility.  Amen.
