A difficult subject for some, this can be comforting for others. In this day and age many families are scattered around the country. Even without distance, planning a funeral and funeral mass can be an overwhelming process for your loved ones. If you have ever thought about your funeral or attended a funeral mass that touched you, you may have a hymn or reading you would like for your funeral. Come to one of our Funeral Liturgy Workshops on Thursday, March 31. For your convenience, we’ve scheduled one in the afternoon and another in the evening. Choose either the 2:00 pm or the 7:00 pm workshop. Both will be held in the Church Meeting Room at OLS.
In the workshop, you will learn about the three stages of a Catholic Funeral, symbolism in the Funeral Mass, having a mass as opposed to a funeral home service, Catholic burial and cremation as well as information on how you can pre arrange your Funeral Liturgy or the Funeral Liturgy of a parent or loved one.
