With much gratitude we acknowledge the faithful service of our parish trustees,
Joseph Novak and
Michael Stewart who have served our community for the past six years. Parish trustees serve on the corporate board of the parish along with the Most Reverend Bishop who is President, the Vicar General, Vice President and the Pastor who is the Secretary Treasurer. Lay trustees assist the pastor in his oversight of parish management and are consulted for all major decisions about the funds and property of the parish. Their consultation is sought and/or required for the acquisition, lease, and sale of real estate and other major assets, as well as the borrowing of money and incurring of any financial liabilities. In this capacity, Joseph and Michael have been exceptional in oversight. In the name of all, I express my gratitude for their generosity of time and talent. They both served as trustees for six consecutive one-year terms, the maximum permitted by Canon Law. They will continue to serve the parish as members of the parish finance council for an additional year.
I am delighted to announce that
David Uhaze and
Maria Ialacci will succeed Joseph and Michael as lay trustees of our parish. Both have been active and faithful parishioners of many years. I express my gratitude to them for their willingness to serve. Their term of office will be January-December 2018. They are able to serve six consecutive terms.
Our trustees, outgoing and incoming, possess the gifts of mind and heart that help to make our parish the wonderful community it is!
