The Our Lady of Sorrows School community participated in a September Service Project to collect and donate goods to the US Troops stationed in Africa. Each month we will serve members of our immediate and global communities to practice the words that we have been taught by Jesus and echoed by Pope Francis: “the life of Jesus is a life of others; it is a life of service.” We want our students to understand and then live this commitment, and what better way than to start with those who serve in our military. We had a very successful project, and we are now getting ready to pack and ship several large boxes of necessities to these men and women.
If anyone in the parish community would like to participate with this endeavor, we are happy to accept any monetary donations to assist with the cost of the freight of these large boxes. All donations can be directed to the school, with checks made out to “Our Lady of Sorrows School.” We are grateful for any assistance you can provide, and know that our troops will be truly grateful to you as well. Thank you!
