October--Month of the Rosary

Often the Saints refer to the Rosary as a powerful weapon. Obviously, they do not consider it a weapon to do harm to another. The Rosary is weapon insofar as it can defend us against all types of evil. St. Josemaria Escriva reminds us that when we use this weapon, when we intercede to Mary through the Rosary, we should have confidence. Confidence that Mary will indeed hear us. She will pray for us to her Son, our Lord. She will not be deaf to our cries and will bring them to Christ. She did not give us the Rosary to abandon us in our need, but the opposite. When we pray the Rosary, it should be with complete faith and trust that our prayers will be heard and answered.

Rosary beads and prayer pamphlets will be available at Our Lady’s Shrine at Our Lady of Sorrows Church and at the side altar of the Blessed Mother at St. Anthony Church throughout the month. Free will donations will be greatly appreciated to help replenish supplies and to pay for postage for the rosaries we send to the 3rd World missions and the military, and give to our First Communicants
