Join your fellow parishioners as we enjoy a day in New York City! On Saturday, November 21, we have reserved orchestra seating for a new Andrew Lloyd Webber musical,
School of Rock-The Musical.
Based on the film of the same name,
School of Rock—The Musical tells the story of wannabe rock star Dewey Finn, who poses as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. When he discovers his students' musical talents, he enlists his fifth-graders to form a rock group and conquer the Battle of the Bands.
You've enjoyed the movie, starring Jack Black, now enjoy the Broadway musical starring Sierra Boggess, star of
The Little Mermaid. See the flyer in the
July 19 bulletin for full details and an order form. (Flyers are also available in the parish school office.)
For $125, you get
transportation from Our Lady of Sorrows (arriving in New York around mid-day with time for lunch or a visit to a local attraction before the show), and
orchestra seating for the show (theater doors open at 1:30 for the 2:00 PM show).
For an additional $25, you can participate in the optional group luncheon. If you are interested in the luncheon, please include this in your payment.
The bus will leave from Our Lady of Sorrows parking lot, promptly at 10:00 AM. We plan to return by about 6:00 PM. Bus seats are reserved at the time of payment. You should plan to arrive 15 minutes before departure time—the bus won't wait!
This weeked before Thanksgiving is a wonderful time to visit the city with your family for a fun-filled show!
