Jesus did not ask His disciples for many things so it must have seemed odd that he wanted two large animals one Sunday morning outside Jerusalem. The disciples did as Jesus ordered. His triumphal entry into Jerusalem required special preparation.

Ever since, the Church has relied on special people to help prepare the way of the Lord. Today, these people are called sacristans. They usually work quietly, behind the scenes, but their work is invaluable to the gathered community.
