Dear Male Parishioners, The OLS-SA Holy Name Society is for you, and we would appreciate your support. The purpose of the Holy Name Society is to give honor and glory to the sacred name of Jesus Christ, which is needed more than ever today. Special devotion to the Holy Name of Jesus originated at the Council of Lyons in 1274 and here at Our Lady of Sorrows-St. Anthony we carry on this tradition to promote reverence to the sacred name of Jesus Christ.
Our meetings are held in the Church Library at noon on the third Wednesday of each month. We know most of you cannot attend due to your work schedules, but you can still honor the Holy Name of Jesus and support the Society. All the money collected goes to charity. We support many charitable organizations and the primary one is Our Lady of Sorrows’ Graduation Awards Program. It is a source of great pleasure to see the smile on the face of the student receiving the award. The regular donation for members is $15 and some give more.
Our next meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 16,at 12:00 pm in the Church Library.
We are now making a special effort to revive this great organization here after our long layoff due to the pandemic. You too can be a part of this effort by giving honor and glory to the sacred name of Jesus Christ and donating whatever your means allow. God surely will reward you.
