Diocesan News…New Diocesan Parishes
Effective July 1, a number of parishes will be merged as a result of the “Faith in Our Future” process initiated by the Most Reverend Bishop. We are pleased to announce the names of these newly formed communities within our Diocese. The churches retain their given titles but the parishes will be given the following names:
 
Parish of St. Junipero Serra, Seaside Park, NJ
Merger of St. Catherine of Siena and Our Lady of Perpetual Help
 
Parish of Our Lady of Hope, West Long Branch
Merger of St. Jerome, W. Long Branch and St. Mary, Deal
 
Parish of St. Isidore the Farmer, New Egypt
Merger of Assumption, New Egypt and St. Andrew, Jobstown
 
Parish of Our Lady of Fatima, Keyport
Merger of St. Joseph and Jesus the Lord, Keyport
 
Parish of the Sacred Heart, Trenton
Merger of Sacred Heart and Blessed Sacrament, Trenton
 
Parish of Teresa of Calcutta, Avon by the Sea
Merger of Ascension, Bradley Beach, and St. Elizabeth, Avon
 
Parish of Mary, Mother of the Church
Merger of St. Mary, Bordentown and SS. Francis and Clare, Florence
