This year's transfers and special assignments of our diocesan priests will be published in the next edition of the Monitor, however, we are pleased to inform you on this Easter Sunday that our own parochial vicars have been entrusted with a special ministry
in addition to their ministry here. Effective July 1:
Fr. H. Todd Carter will serve as part-time chaplain of Notre Dame High School, Lawrence.
Fr. Jean Felicién will serve as part-time chaplain of Trenton Catholic Academy, Hamilton.
The Most Reverend Bishop has specified that these ministries, however important, are
part-time, and that "the parish comes first." These assignments underscore the challenges we face in the diocese's ability to "cover" various aspects of our pastoral life. In effect, all three priests of the parish will have to be "shared" as they assume additional duties—the pastor at the Chancery, and the parochial vicars to the high schools. We ask for your kind understanding and prayers. Let us congratulate Fr. Carter and Fr. Jean as they minister to the young people in our high schools.
