Once again, the Diocese of Trenton is sponsoring a procession through the streets of Trenton in celebration of Our Lady of Gaudalupe. Many of our Spanish-speaking brothers and sisters have a great devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe, and have been holding a procession in her honor for years. This year, parishes throughout the diocese are joining in a special commemoration of Our Lady of Guadalupe, known as the patroness of Pro-Life because of her miraculous intervention that put an end to the Aztec practice of infant sacrifice, through several key events and activities.
The procession begins at 9:00 AM, at Immaculate Conception Church on Chestnut Avenue, and proceeds down Hamilton, Olden, and Clinton Avenues, ending at St. Mary's Cathedral. However, you can join the procession at several different points along the route. The procession ends at noon with Mass at the Cathedral with Bishop David O'Connell, followed by food, fellowship, and a Mariachi band and other entertainment.
You can park at the Cathedral, and buses will be available to transport you to the starting point of your choice:
