Despite the treacherous cold and ice, 306 hours of volunteer service were cheerfully provided by 51 volunteers to 44 persons, amounting to a gift of $7,650 in free services for our seniors, according to Jane Latini, executive director of Interfaith Caregivers of Greater Mercer County.
Caring Hearts volunteers provide non-medical services such as visiting, transportation, respite care, shopping, reassurance calls, paperwork assistance, chores, meals, and housekeeping to our homebound elderly and disabled neighbors.
