The “White Mass”

A Cohort Celebration

You may have heard of a “Red Mass,” celebrated to pray for those in the legal profession, or a “Blue Mass” for those in law enforcement. Our Lumen Christi Cohort (OLS-SA, SR-HA, and St. Gregory Parishes) is sponsoring a “White Mass” at Our Lady of Sorrows Church on Saturday, February 10, at 10:30 am. It will be a special opportunity to ask God’s blessings for healthcare professionals and to affirm the vital service they provide to the sick according to the model of the Lord Jesus. Everyone is welcome to join us in praying for our healthcare professionals and to thank them for their work.

The following day, the Church observes “World Day of the Sick,” established by St. John Paul II in 1992 as a special time pf prayer for those who are ill and to see in them the face of Christ.
