The library is located in the basement of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, directly across from the door to the Parish Office.
Among the many activities available to all parishioners is our Bible Study Group. This Bible Study is not a matter of memorizing to the extent that you can recite book, chapter and verse at will. Of course, you certainly can learn to do it with help from these sessions. The leader of the group is our own Len Commini. Len has a great understanding of Catholic theology and Bible History. He possesses a degree in Ancient Greco/Roman History and Psychology.
The three Sunday Mass readings from both the Old and New Testaments, have a common thread that link them in some manner. At the Bible Study sessions, Len reviews all three readings and explains them so that you can easily understand their message. He also provides a lot about the customs and traditions of biblical times as well as the significance of the language used. Len ties the three Sunday readings together and what they mean to us as Catholics.
Our Bible Study is a great help to make our experience of the Mass more meaningful and gratifying. The sessions are attended by a very nice group of people who are interested in growing in their faith through the Sacred Scripture. New members will be at ease in expressing their thoughts and questions.
