The Catholic Church offers many different ways to approach God in prayer, both individually and as a community. At Our Lady of Sorrows - St. Anthony, the following community devotions are regularly scheduled:
On the First Sunday of the month for Corporate Sunday, the Rosary is recited.
From July to December, Corporate Sunday is held at the Our Lady of Sorrows Church with the recitation of the rosary at 8:30 am followed by the 9:00 am Mass.
From January to June, Corporate Sunday is held at the St. Anthony Church, with the recitation of the rosary at 9:30 am followed by Mass at 10:00.
All parishioners are invited to join in the recitation of the rosary for our parish community, world peace, an end to abortion and terrorism, for the intentions of the Pope, and for the special intentions of all those present.
To pray the rosary online, check out the
Rosary page.
Stations of the Cross (Via Crucis)
During Lent, the parish offers two opportunities each week to participate in the Stations of the Cross:
Fridays, 7:00 pm, Our Lady of Sorrows Church (no Eucharistic Benediction)
In addition to programs offered at the Francis House of Prayer, you are invited to St. Gregory the Great for a program of spiritual growth that will help deepen your prayer life and bring you closer to Our Lord. The Respect Life Ministry of OLS-SA is hosting a group rosary at an online Zoom conference every Wednesday evening at 6:45 PM. We invite everyone to join us in praying this rosary as a group for the express intention of an end to abortion. At this time, we are also including an intention to end the Covid-19 pandemic.
