See she has volunteer in the OLS office since our son attended OLS and always mentioned to me that they sometimes are short catechist. Due to the life changing injury I suffered I was unable to coach any of our kids (Jason 16 an Paige 12) actives in sports. So when my wife came home from the OLS office one evening an said they were looking for a couple of teachers for the new school year I said to my self this is for me. Grade 4WA

I have been teaching religion off and on since I was a teenager. Prior to converting to A Catholic in April of 2007, I was a Sunday School Coordinator at a Presbyterian church for 11 years and also taught classes when needed.
This is my fifth year teaching CCD here at OLS-SA. I like to teach by using, statues, pictures, posters, handouts, games, puzzles and crafts to get the children involved and interested and thinking. I hope each child walks away at the end of the year with at least one thing they remember from my class.

Mrs. Stacey Crannage
Grade 4WB

I was baptised and made my First Holy Communion at OLS, before my family moved to Ewing, NJ; right before I entered the fourth grade. My mother and I always missed OLS once we moved, which is why I chose to teach CCD back at OLS in 2008-2009.

During 2009-2011 I had to take a hiatus in teaching CCD as I married my wonderful husband Gregg and had our son Austin Charles. Now I am back and very excited to be teaching fourth grade again on Wednesday nights. I hope to be a Catechist at OLS for many years to come!

I look forward to meeting your children and having a successful and fun year!

Sister Dorothy Lettiere , RSM
Grade 7B

A Religious Sister of Mercy on the island of Guam for 31 years, I returned to New Jersey in July of 2005 to care for my mother who is now 95 years old. What an awesome privilege it is for me to be with her at this time of her life!

This will be my seventh year teaching CCD classes at OLS-SA. I am so grateful for the opportunity to share Jesus' message of love and to instill in these young people a deep desire to be faithful followers and witnesses of Christ. These boys and girls enrich my life in so many beautiful ways and draw me closer to God by their childlike simplicity. How truly blessed I am!

One day when my mother no longer needs me, I will go back to "my beloved island." You will find me once again teaching CCD classes under the coconut trees and in the thatched roof huts along the Pacific Ocean. I will tell these native children all about God's loving care for them. With much joy I will also tell them about my wonderful OLS-SA students who will always have a very special place in my heart - I will carry them with me wherever I go!
